Bio

My career began at Strelka KB, a leading multidisciplinary urban consulting company that introduced the New Urbanism movement to post-Soviet cities. I contributed to the My Street Programme, the largest urban framework in modern Russian history, preparing Moscow for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. For four years, I witnessed a comprehensive transformation take hold: public realm improvements that addressed economic decline, social exclusion, and environmental degradation, transforming democratic values into a physical reality. That experience shaped my passion for creating thriving urban environments and my appetite for transformative change.

I continued my professional journey prioritising collaboration with the prominent practitioners, projects in different climate zones and contexts, and challenging spatial tasks. The desire to be at the forefront influenced my career choices and motivated me to move to London, to a place with global and cutting-edge opportunities. To date, I have taken part in various strategic, regeneration and place-making projects in Europe, Central Asia and the Arabian Peninsula.

Today, I am keen on fundamentally rethinking our urban environments and preparing them for future demands, challenging existing paradigms rather than simply refining them. I am exploring opportunities beyond conventional practice: consulting for tech companies, contributing to cross-sector innovations, and pursuing unconventional opportunities where urban thinking might prove transformative.

LanaLab serves as my personal lab for mental gymnastics and free thinking — a platform to explore and challenge the realities of our world from an urban design perspective.
